my attitude towards this upcoming promotion is the same as when my best friend asked about taking our "relationship" to the next level...I actually like where we are right now.
Hey PMs! First time posting, so here goes… I’ve been at my current job, a DC-based start up, for 2 years and have 5 yoe (all in product). Seems like salaries have spiked quite a bit lately - any suggestions on what I should be asking for next promotion cycle? I currently make $130k
I am getting strong fomo on the market response and how easily people are switching jobs with minimal efforts and huge raise. I wasn’t looking for any change. I recently got promoted (good raise) and role I see a decent learning curve. I was tho planning on changing to tech or competitor by year end or next year. Currently I am reached out by all competitors and faang. What should I do? I am not prepared as well. Should I also consider recession predicted for EOY
I've been wondering for a long time how do Stay-At-Home moms motivate their daughters to excel in school (academically, socially, etc.)? How do they promote benefits of academic achievement and career success when all their daughters see them do is cook, clean, and chauffer them places?
Even after meeting my metrics goals, I didn't get Strong rating. Where to raise my concern besides my coach?
Not really sure what board is proper for this. But has anyone had an experience where your boss required paperwork for a raise? I started my job as an account manager at a less than reasonable salary, but I was under the impression that I would be able to grow and would have help. A lot of work is dumped on me at one time and all the responsibility falls to me, it's often way to much work for one person. I tried to negotiate a raise with my boss and lead with the fact that I was moving to the area and the salary was not conducive to rent here. He cut me off after my first point and said he'd figure it out. I never got to tell him about my workload. Long story short he required a lease agreement for me to get this raise. It took quite a while to get one... had a few places fall through. My landlord is in the middle of moving so was only able to forward me a PDF of the document that was unsigned, until she has time to meet. Now my boss wants a signed lease with all my roommates signatures too. This is not part of the contract I signed that simply says "provide a lease agreement"... tips?
Passed the in-person with Google and they have had me on hold for team matching now for 5+ months. In that time, I've gotten promoted and a 30k raise. How /when should I bring this up?
Hi guys! 2 questions if anyone knows: 1. Can I have my home address be in a different state while my home office is in a different state? My roommates and I are thinking of breaking our lease due to COVID-19 since we’re all quarantining out of state. I’m currently on OPT and my H1B will kick in in October. I am allowed to work from another state on OPT but I’m concerned on whether updating my home address to a different state will raise concerns. 2. Can this out of state address be my home...
Raise your hand if you’re so tired.
Is there still a salary bump if you don’t get promoted to the next level in a promotion year?
ZS 🐟 ,What’s the promotion timeline for an experienced hire at ZS? I feel like I’ve sold myself short (should’ve asked C rather than AC given my experience) during recruitment. Is 1 year possible to go from AC to C assuming above average performance or is it always at least 2+ years? TIA ZS Associates
I recently got a promotion but my pay raise was 13%. I’ve heard the saying “if it isn’t at least 20%, it isn’t a real promotion”. However I also don’t want to look this gift horse in the mouth in the midst of a pandemic. What do you think I should do?
Thank you to all of the wonderful women here who congratulated me on my recent promotion to PARTNER and shared suggestions on how I ought to celebrate. What a great community! Ultimately, I decided on a sizable donation to my hometown public school district. Hope this inspires someone out there to do the same. Happy holidays!
Did you guys have compensation discussion? How much bonus was for senior 1 rating 3? And raise in the east coast region?
I am due for a promotion, but my boss doesn't want another Creative Director due to the size of our agency. I am more of an exceptional excution marketing creative with strong strategic skills vs. a traditional advertising concepter/copywriter. My boss has asked me to think of a title. Director of Copy and Content? What do you think?
Any update regarding ITA promotion?
Big 4 salary comparison. Collated some data points from Glassdoor to compare salaries across EY PwC Deloitte KPMG. Thought will be helpful for the fishes out there looking for job change or even progression/ promotion within team. Do like, share and comment 😀
Really…. only got a 4% raise after working 60 hours weeks bc of deliberate understaffing and employee attrition..
How do I know when I should raise my rate? I don’t want to box myself out of jobs, but I would like more money...
Got a big raise in salary from getting promoted to senior but still below industry average pay? 🙄
Is National better than local office?
Recruiter tells me I can get 80-85k in industry and work 40 hours a week. After raise I'm at 78k in public working 60 hours half the year. Everyone else says 20% raise...i want a 20% jump! What gives?
How crazy or tame do holiday parties get? First time going to one for any job I've been in. Any stories would be great too
So, I cannot help but feel creeped out that "data" is king, and creativity and human engagement have basically died. Glad I will be followingtheir@lead in the next 30 or so years.
Anyone's firm offering business process outsourcing? Thoughts on making a move to that dept?
Thoughts on PMP? Anyone have PMP and CPA?
Has an agency you interviewed with ever said your work was too "Americana humor" for them? Not sure if the style of my voice will ever make it in this industry.
How many years of experience did you have when you hit $100k salary? Where you in a major city? Did you have a grad degree, a professional certification, or both?
Hey freelancers...I usually raise my rates every 3 years or so. How often are you guys doing it? And by what percentage? Just want to try to keep up with market and cost of living...yet stay within reason.
Looking at investing in FedEx and GameStop. Check out Forward PE and PEG, good earnings growth and operating cash flow. Thoughts?
Anyone do a keratin treatment? Considering letting my hair girl do one. My hair is naturally wavey and can be frizzy.
Anyone ever lie on their resume? I’m not talking about overemphasizing your achievements but more like creating a fictional role 🤔
