A great opportunity with a top brand has come up. I have not actively looked to make a move, but this role and brand looks really promising with a greater earning potential. Down side is I would need to relocate which I do not want to do and would be a challenge for my wife’s job . Hi 👋🏾 I started a job in Jan of 2022 as a proj. coord. (2yrs exp) for a small-mid sized company ~200 ppl. I have received much recognition from the directors and higher executives. 3 months after being hired I was asked to become SCRUM master (for which I am certified) Unfortunately there has been a series of management changes and at my 6 month evaluation my salary was adjusted from 65 to 67k. Am I wrong to expect more? I’m unsure what a typical promotional jump is but 67k for SCRUM master?

Can anyone speak to the presence of impact investing across PE versus VC or HF?

For context, I’m going for my MBA next fall (targeting M7) and want to pivot into impact-focused finance but am struggling to understand which option is best. I’m going in with 3 years of tech consulting experience (data & analytics) in the financial services industry.

If you’re 4 years into consulting will it be tough to win offers on deal teams? And typically are you set at the same comp and promotion cycle as others typically entering with 2 years of experience? Trying to decide if recruiting for Associate roles will still be worth it…

I am a M2 at B4 FDD and don’t know how long i’ll be genuinely interested in this work. Currently debating rotating into a B4 IB associate role for a year or two, then moving to PE. Is this a reasonable move? I know IB lifestyle will suck, but I don’t want to find myself in a spot where I dislike what I do in a few years and feel like moving to IB may increase my chances of landing a better gig in the future ( as opposed to sticking to FDD)

I’m sure it’ll vary depending on the specific terms of the agreement and ethos of the fund, but generally / anecdotally what would cost you to lose a VESTED carry? E.g. what if you leave to a competitor even when respecting the gardening leave / non poaching etc? What if you are let go for underperformance (but haven’t breached any rules / done anything unethical etc). Or what if you’re let go simply due to eg the fund reducing headcount or your team?

Would love any thoughts on my current situation. Worked 1 year at a T2 firm (EYP, OW, S&) and make the transition over to MBB 3 months ago.

While recruiting for MBB I was also doing off cycle GE recruiting. The process dropped off and resumed just a couple weeks ago and I’ve received an offer for this summer. Wondering if leaving after 6-8 months in MBB is too short or if I should just take the offer and run w it.

I have an offer for a PE Ops role and whilst comp is good it seems like they're hiring a pool of internal consultants to leverage for implementation projects within specific PortCos and therefore I won't be driving initiatives centrally - is this standard practice for Ops roles?

At this point I think I'll turn it down given I'm looking for something that operates more centrally (driving not implementing myself)
