What is a PE sales associate
Is that the same as investors relations?
0-30%. No reason to pay more; promote them instead.
Having someone bad in the role is substantially worse than having no one. So you don’t want to nickel and dime. But at this level they also aren’t directly responsible for capital adds, they are qualifying, wrangling follow ups, scheduling, etc. It’s essentially admin work.
Are you internal or external e.g., placement agent or inhouse IR/Fundraising?
20-30% seems right for internal sales if you don't have a comp plan. Placement agents charge about 1% of new capital raised or $10M fee for every $1B raised. Institutional vs retail will also matter as the later will pay less due to volume / ticket size
What’s the typical base for IR/fundraising Associate/SA ?
Not sure about NYC but the funds I interviewed at generally range from $95k to $120k for base. I’d assume NYC will be higher than this.
Following up on this post, were you able to get more insight into the base and bonus numbers for this role?
