I got $360K in MCOL as strategy director in industry
That is a pretty sweet gig for MCOL! What tier of consulting firm did you come from? MBA or no?

I got $300k in LCOL. I took a lot of recruiter calls with Charles Aris, ECA, etc. and would say most non-tech roles would be $300k-$330k with MCOL and HCOL markets maybe a bit higher.
Wowza. So that's a $300k exit with something like 5 or 6 YOE total? Damn that's good. I'm well into my 30s so I'm behind the curve.
I’m the same profile and have been interviewing for the past few months. I would say for HCOL areas, average of ~330k TC is reasonable (with potential to get close to 400 depending on company and interview performance)

Lol that must be pretty neat for them
What’s a typical breakdown of $300-400k comps you see?
Usually for the higher comp numbers, salary anywhere from like $100k to a bit under $200, cash bonus bringing that up to $200... rest in equity.
Think this is too industry dependent. I think in this job market, you could probably get $300s as a 2nd year EM in tech. But you probably aren't getting that in retail like Macy's or some industrial company in Ohio.
BCG1 - That is true. There are industrial companies that will pay low 300s. But your run of the mill EM without heavy industrial experience isn't generally going to qualify. They look for pre and post MBA experience in industrials.
