Thoughts on going back to Consulting vs staying in a strategy role in Tech considering remuneration + long term opportunities? I am assessing an opportunity to join Bain at Consultant level (~£85k base) vs Senior Strategy Manager in a fast growing tech firm (£95k + 15% bonus + RSUs), most likely going for IPO in the year. Both in London. I am 7.5 YOE total: 4.5 in consulting, 3 as Corporate Strategy Manager at a Large Tech firm.

Don’t let the company fool you, I’m ACTUALLY a recent graduate and unemployed kid looking for an entry-level Jr. Copywriter position in Chicago.

This seems to be a pattern over the last few years. Opposing Counsel is easy to work with, then the case appears headed for trial (roughly 70 days out) and all of a sudden the civility and easy nature of the case goes down the toilet. I’m an associate product manager at a company i’ve been at for 2 years, but have been an APM for 1 year. I’m at the point where I feel like i’m doing the exact work a PM would do (I’ve shipped 4 features from start to finish on my own) and i’m typically assigned larger features than the other PMs because they’re newer and don’t know the end user or product as well as I do. I always get massive praise from leadership as well. Why haven’t I been promoted yet? is it still too early?
