Your career is a marathon not a sprint. Take the time to develop and set yourself on a path you are passionate about rather than focusing on constant promotions, etc. I took three years to hit manager instead of my targeted two and was so glad things turned out that way

Everything is a package. Your job, your partner, your house, your friends,... Every package has the great, the good, and the bad. Accept that. But if you don’t like the package, change it.

Tread carefully with competition and comparing yourself to others. There is always room for advancement when you bring innovation and leadership to the table - every firm will make room for that. Don’t blend in with the crowd trying to out-organize and out-plan each other.

“Lives are not at stake here.” A nice reminder to put things in perspective

“Is anyone bleeding? No? Then, we’re all going to be ok. Take a breath."

“Don’t be an idiot”.

You can do anything for 12 months!

Be curious

Congrats! Good for you!

(This the only bowl I can post in for some reason) Anyways, my question is for investors out there weather retail or institutional is, what are some websites or articles or people that you follow when it comes to macro pre search and takes on the market or in the economy? Or do you just formulate your own from your own analysis and DD? I know institutional will have more access to other analysis and research in terms of more “formal and academic”

Three years in and I’ve received bonuses between 600-1500 every year until this one when I received nothing. Our agency line is “we don’t give bonuses.” Should I be concerned?

Is CIPD a valuable certification? Is it appreciated in Europe only or US too? I have an opportunity to get it but not sure if knowledge is really up to date and worth time spent.

Do you feel that working in HR area is less prestigious than in strategy, finance or any other function? Also perception from S&O and MBB colleagues is sometimes arrogant.
