If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.

I’ve felt that I’ve done well my first month or two and delivered higher quality work, but I feel that lately I’ve been slipping up the past few weeks given the intensity of the deal as well as having multiple peripheral work streams. I have got 10 years of experience in project management with solid records and I had to leave my last employer after just 8 months due to a restructuring. Now I have landed a cool job in an investment bank on the business side however my manager is the typical boomer micromanaging everything and everyone with strong requirements to go to the office everyday (absolutely not needed) I feel like I will be suffucating soon.
