I'm currently working as ETL tester @ Infosys, 5Yoe, cctc: 6.5
Going for my first switch, and got offer from CTS with 11.5 ctc as etl tester.
My lwd is jan 2nd.
I got trained in Selenium in java and i think my selenium concepts/understandings are good, need some brush up on testng.
So is it advicable to kick start and brushup Selenium+ TestNG concepts in 1 month and go for automation role interviews as i dont have experience in realtime automation projects. Good or bad idea?

Yesterday I was working with a "Becky" recruiter to prepare myself for a final interview. She told me that the way I speak is "corporate"and that could be a problem. WHAT!!!!! Baby, I speak with authority because I am confident in my skills! I secured the position and she will be one of the agency's I will work with. Ladies, should I read her for filth? It was definitely example of unconscious bias and some insecurity on her part.

Audit Senior, 3 YOE. I want to do FDD full time, just completed a rotation in FDD at EY. Expressed interest immediately that I want to join FDD. EY will give full time offers in January but not guaranteed. Have an offer for a small, boutique FDD firm that is very generous. Don’t want to make wrong career decision. Do I take the boutique firm offer now, hang around at EY to see if I get it, or be patient and keep applying elsewhere (other big 4 or middle market)? Want to avoid another bzy season

Double murder home invasion two houses down on my street tonight in BK. When it happened I'd just gotten home from pizza place and was stuffing my entitled Netflix watching face. Broad daylight and just like that two innocent people taken down in their own home. Fat unhealthy looking cops show up waddling around and ambulance moved like snails. 4 hours later and they're still out there...searching for clues. But yet they all look so clueless...All of it feels surreal but this happens on the regular here in NY. It's shocking when it's two doors down and all you can think is... why them? Heart broken to my core, and have been contemplating going back down south to run from the trappings of this beast of a city,,,but death- you can't exactly run from it can you? Hey everyone! I’m struggling to decide whether I should pursue a full time MBA or a Part Time MBA. Truly, what scares me about a full time one is the fact that I won’t work for two years. I know it’s a big investment and I’ll be rewarded for ir later on, but the thought of it still scares me. I would love to get someone’s thoughts on this! Is the experience very different? Will I be exhausted if I do the part time? Is there something I’m not considering when it comes to the Full Time?

Looking for input . My company's policy has always been to pay out on rollover PTO when you leave the company. My last day was Jan 8th, and I had 10 days from 2020 I was supposed to be paid on. I talk to my manager and a VP in HR, and they both confirmed I would be paid on the PTO in my Jan 15th paycheck. However, I was not paid and when I emailed about it I was told there was a PTO policy change in April of 2020 and the company no longer pays on carry over PTO...
