Generally good, easy access to Costco, industry city is up and coming and gentrifying the area.
Rising Star
Easy access to Ikea Swedish meatballs.
Far from the city. I lived there for five years when I first moved here and if I came home after work, I wouldn’t really go out again. Maybe it’s different now with cool things to do? We also said it was “up and coming” 20 years ago soooo....
I’m born and raised there, feel free to DM.
I lived there for 4 years and moved away last year. It’s affordable, diverse, and always felt incredibly safe. The park is small but lively. 8th Ave is filled with Asian restaurants and businesses, while 5th is more Latino. Industry city feels a bit out of place, but nice to wander. My biggest con was the lack of amenities - there aren’t any great supermarkets in the area. I’d recommend looking for an apt near the N or D train. It will take you forever to get anywhere on the R. Hope that helps.
