Darn missed those comments. Was it me? 😂
I’ve worked at both. Protiviti is mainly staff aug and pretty boring work. The culture is great though and I have a ton of friends still in the Chicago office. The work life balance is better and people actually seemed to work 40-45 hours a week. The pay is lower too though. Base is probably 15-20% lower.
+1 to this... had a friend who absolutely loved the people and culture but ended up leaving to Deloitte for more varied work and stronger career progression
PRO TC(tech consulting) is great but a little dependent on the specialialty; e.g., sec, program management. Clients are smaller/less sexy but the work is the same. To avoid COVID lay offs the trigger the firm uses is staff aug work pulled in from Robert Half, so that is a fair caution but more indicative of life during COVID. Avoid, IA directors like the plaque because that is all they do (I.e., IA staff aug and co-source). Also, pay wise they will give you a nice market level bump to come over but I suspect raises slow down in later years. Target base for MDs is 250k Generally. That said bonuses are significantly better than B4(or at least EY). Feel free to DM me if you want more info.
