Do you guys think it’s important to personally bond w your coworkers? a lot of members on my team are trying to organize a socially distanced day at the park because they « miss everyone so much » and while I genuinely like/appreciate them as people... this feels so extra? I definitely don’t feel the need to go out of my way and see the whole team during a pandemic? Am I horribly antisocial or do most people care this deeply for their coworkers/team

In an environment where we’re barely surviving, fielding resignations left and right, I thought this might be a good place to vent, source ideas, discuss common trends etc. Our field is very unique and hard to find comps in terms of salary, daily duties, expectations so I’m hoping we can have an open dialogue on this!
What are some good parenting books on communication? And while we’re at it, any good ones for spouses?
My district is forcing all children back to F2F instruction right after winter break. If they choose not to they have to home school or enroll in another district. I have 4 close coworkers in quarantine from Thanksgiving celebrations. Does this make sense to anyone? I am confused with the district’s reasoning.

Currently have 10 years experience in TA last 5 years in management. Moved abroad for a management position this company made senior leadership redundant! Spent around 3 months unemployed and was offered a position around 40% less salary for a Senior Recruiter position so going back to what I had done a few years ago! It's been 1 year at my current company. I've gone thru 3 managers, 2 directors & the recruitment team I'm on dwindle down from 20+ to 10. Recently, my manager was let go & 3 people are trying to do their job. I'm starting to get concerned as this manager had a good connection & communication with our team. Now, we're just kind of in limbo with little communication. I'm hanging on & riding this out but a part of me thinks it may be time to update my resume. Any advice?

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Recruiters, which offer would you take? For context, I only have 6 months of recruiting experience. At one of the companies, I’d be their first recruiter. They’re a series A startup with $20mil funding in EV battery industry. The other option is as a Technical Sourcer role at Verkada.
