I like going on dates with couples 😅
My husband and I are ready to start trying for kids. I’m a little nervous about how much he wants a boy. He keeps talking about his little guy and the fun guy things they’ll do together. It’s not that he wouldn’t be a good dad to a daughter but he grew up with just brothers and largely male cousins. Still, I’m nervous because treating a boy and girl similarly is super important to me. Red flag or don’t sweat it?
When you get added to the Laid-Off Bowl but haven’t been notified that you’ve been laid-off
How do you handle high turnaround of people leaving? I manage a team of 4 people, since Sept I had 3 people that left. they are leaving because of money, which I have no impact on (although I do my best to get raises and promotions in line with company’s policy). What can I do to avoid this, how do you look for cues in 1:1, how you manage the situation? Feel like I’m running circles and concerned I am missing something as their manager and there’s something I could change…
There's a junior (26, 5 yrs graduated, 3 yrs in the US from China). She is lost in what /how she actually supposed to get her work done. She's in a work stream that I'm not personally overseeing. Cont

Anyone know what a good total comp range is for a Biz Ops Manager at a fast growing series C startup? I have 4 years of experience in consulting & strategy at startups. The offer is around $120k Total comp, but I was hoping for closer to $140k
I'm making a career pivot from sales and operations leadership, with a 20 side hustle as an adventure photographer and filmmaker, to software engineering. Is anyone out there looking for a Full Stack Engineer, and passionate about mentoring? If so, I'd love to connect!
Moving into a management role and am slightly nervous about leading a team’s personal and professional development. Any good recs on books/classes I can take in meantime to ease my anxiety? Process I have no problem with, but want to make sure I’m doing right by the people I will be leading.
Hi! Anyone at BAH willing to refer?
In terms of positioning vs competitors - particularly strategy focused firms like MBB, could our leading Operational expertise can be coupled with the strategy practice to differentiate us?...
Are there any fixed number of days to go to office in a week? Can an employee choose any 3 days in a week? Or is it chosen by the manager? JPMorgan Chase
Has anyone ever had to cut ties with a guy friend before? One of mine has been pushing the boundaries of what I’m comfortable with in friendship with a guy and saying comments that don’t sit well with me. He keeps trying to force plans that only involve the two of us and always asks if he can come over and we can cook and watch a movie. I always say no and take my time responding back. He “jokingly” said he wished we had a private phone line so he could always get in touch with me…
Have any of you been in trouble for “over billing” hours even when there was valid work being done?
I'm a new adjuster but have great metrics and feel I'm doing fairly well. My family is struggling living paycheck to paycheck. I've been with my company about 7 months but I feel other companies pay more. I don't want to leave though. Any tips for asking for a salary increase? I was promoted a few months in to a tier 2 but no pay raise goes with that. Thanks for any advice.. I'm at 47k a year. I wanted to go SIU but obviously there is no immediate significant pay bump. Ultimately aiming for 60k
Does anyone know (from your conversations with law firms) if EB3 India priority dates will regress with Nov 2020 bulletin? Or can it be expected to stay the same for a while. Wondering if Fragomen (or any other top legal firm) has any opinion on this matter.
Does anyone have recommendations for good accountants who understand incentive stock options (ISOs), AMT, and exiting strategies? My company just went through a major series C funding round and I have the fortunate problem of needing to make wise tax decisions on future stock exercises. It seems like most CPAs I’ve come across are not well versed in ISOs. Given how common stock incentives are in tech I’d hope there are some reasonably priced advisors with expertise in the subject.
