Hi folks, I have 6.5 yrs experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices with my CCTC 10. I am being offered 23 Fixed + 1.1 PF in DBS for Senior Associate Role for Full Stack. They mentioned there will be also some bonus component which will be provided ranging from 0-15% of 23. Can you guys suggest if it is the best that they can offer considering my CCTC. What is the expected range for fixed part for Senior Associate Role.
1800 fixed pf is better if you are able to make more than PF returns after tax by investing in MFs/ELSS. I would prefer 1800 anyday
Of course 12% deduction looking at the interest rate EPF provides
It depends - if you are good with money and investments then may be 1800 and you can invest your money in wherever you want. Else 12%

@Business analyst 1, People think that a long term investment would be 5-7 years and they do not do a proper allocation. If your debt to equity ratio changes, then they'll have to rebalance it based on their needs, but it's tough for a normal individual new to equities to do that. And even after 15+ years, you definitely cannot say that you will definitely get 12% or more since if you keep only investing in equities close to your retirement and if there's a sudden crash you will end up losing your capital or even negative returns like the covid scenario. And why ELSS funds if I may ask ? If it's just for tax purposes, then you can go with an index fund instead of ELSS. The PF is like a cushion and it will definitely get the fixed interest rate unlike equities. I'm not against equity, but make sure to consult a SEBI certified fee based financial planner to get everything sorted out. Do go through this site freefincal.com where you can get some good ideas about investment in equities, debt funds and even asset allocation. And you definitely cannot say which active fund will beat the index. Today some active funds will do a lot better than index. A couple of years later some other active funds will do better than index. That's the reason PF is important and when the new rules kick in and 50% of fixed changes to the basic part, then the allocation will be even more.

Can 1800 fixed PF be made via some request to company instead of 12% contribution? What's the process?
