What is pay like for Big Tech PMs in London?

Currently making ~200k all-in living in a LCOL in the Midwest/South. Have been offered 500k in NYC. Job is not my passion but a jobs a job lol. Adjusting for taxes and COL and just financially speaking, is the NYC offer a better one? Additional context: am mid 30s with a spouse early 30s who makes about 200k. Kids probably in the next five years or so

Who has better exit ops from audit? First year senior or first year manager? Defining “better” as the larger potential jump in total compensation

Got an offer for Sr. A.E selling SaaS. $150K base, OTE $275K and 20,000 RSU (5 years vest) but value of RSU is undisclosed since this is a startup.

Having a hard time with the RSU offer since I have no idea if 20K shares is good or not. Any insights or advise is much appreciated!

I'm not in sales per se but I manage my company's largest wholesale account ($150 million per/yr account). It's a great company, awesome culture, good benefits, flexibility, but the pay is not great ($60K/yr). All the pros outweighed the mediocre pay, but now with inflation rising, my paycheck isn't going as far and I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if I should start looking elsewhere or if I should ask my boss for a raise.

I've completed the final rounds for 2 companies: AWS as an L7 Principal PMT and another that's a Series-A funded startup in the HCM space. I expect offers from both: AWS around $400k TC ($250k base + $150k stock) and the startup should be around $300k TC ($250k base + 20% bonus). If comp wasn't the ONLY consideration, what would you do? The AWS role will be an IC role and more hands-on/technical. The startup will be a CPO role reporting to the CEO with a team of about 50 devs+PMs.

Looking for feedback on companies that you either currently work for or have worked for. Please include the company name, whether they allow 100% remote work, and your experience regarding: compensation, culture, WLB/schedule, meeting load, expectations, etc.

I keep getting feedback from managers and interviewers that I am strong in product strategy and business mindset, but weak in technical skills despite my CS undergrad and 2 YOE as a software engineer. Does anyone know why company level boards in Jira don't support hybrid kanban (true backlog with epics)? It only shows fix version in the backlog and can't show epics. This makes no sense to me since the team managed board supports it. Isn't the company just more granular controls by admins? This has been the bane of my existence for years. What am I missing?

The reasons given were basically that I was not a great match for the team. My manager said they wanted somebody who was more aggressive; I take full responsibility for my performance. It is unfortunate I did not receive much feedback, and the few feedback I received was actually kinda positive lol. In any case, I'm learning from my mistakes and looking for opportunities . 4 years of experience 2 SWE at startups/msft and 1.8 years as PM at upcoming tech company

Zillow PM. Your price and feature filter on your mobile app is broken. Even when it works, the load times are long. Worked great last week so must be a recent code fix gone wrong.

Looking forward to this fix because lord knows 95% of us spent thousands of hours window shopping on Zillow all through the pandemic. No reason to stop that daily habit now. 🏡

Hey all, I'm a Product Manager 9 months into a Big4 consulting manager role. I've come to the conclusion that although I can succeed in consulting, my preference is to own the roadmap and have a larger influence on the 'what' for a product instead of offering recommendations and executing on another PMs backlog. I've now accepted an offer as PM at a well SaaS product company, where I will have a more hands on role, shaping the product and delivering valuable outcomes. Thoughts welcome! :)

How are your engineering teams estimating user stories? I want to validate how my company is currently doing them. Let’s say when one user story is broken down into front end task of 3 sp and a back end task of 5 sp, then the estimate they provide for the story is 5 sp. Is that the correct methodology?
