I’m gay

I'm bi. No one knows as well. People just assume I'm straight.

That I was an escort up until I was hired...

Kpmg4 - I would think eventually you would have to do something sexual. It’s also dangerous. I’ve thought of doing escorting too but my bf would leave me and the above thoughts come to mind.

I have stage 2 cancer...seriously lol. All good tho I'll deal the cards life gave me

I have major depression and anxiety issues. I appear calm in difficult client situations because my brain shuts down a bit during intense stress.

likeuplifting

What helps with my anxiety issues is meditation/gym and honestly having to be more self loving and doing more kid like activities . It took more than a year but I can say I’ve helped to lower my anxiety issues. Hope this helps someone.

KPMG 9 - I was married to an alcoholic for almost 9 years and we have 3 children together. Divorcing him was the best thing I ever did but unfortunately, I still have to deal with his narcissistic ass because of the kids. Unless he's willing to get sober, I can promise you it won't get better.

I’m going through a divorce, hence all the sick time I’ve taken over the last 6 months AND the reason I’m putting in my notice tomorrow.

likeuplifting

I just finalized mine. I’m a different person and I wish you the same amount of happiness I have discovered in being my own person again. Just remember that therapy is a fantastic outlet, especially if you have kids and they have a hard time with the divorce.

likeuplifting

My divorce was finalized about 6 months ago and now I am fighting for full custody of my daughters, as a male, because their mother has sever mental health issues. It’s almost impossible for a dad to get full custody so I’m spending what little savings I have left after the divorce on lawyers. And I’m trying to make Director this year which I don’t think will happen because what little time I have outside of project work is spent with lawyers and not on firm reinvestment. So I’m afraid of losing my case to protecting my kids and my job as the firm continues to cut those who don’t sell. I’m afraid of my world falling apart and nobody knows.

likeuplifting

Wow. You are a very strong man for this. It’ll all be worth it!

Not gonna give away everything but I’ll give you all a snippet of my secret life.

1.) I smoke about 1-2 ounces of weed every month (Not Ashamed). I lobby for projects in cities where it’s legal but I typically find ways to get it regardless of where I’m traveling

2.) I attend EDM and hip hop music festivals religiously across the country.

3.) Been to jail twice. (No, not because of weed)

Because if he was into you he would have talked about the relationship further. The fact that he acts like it didn't happen can only be that he's not interested or that he's afraid of an HR issue (but you're going to a different company). I think it's nice every now and then for the girl to take initiative as well so just give him a call to talk about it. Last thing in my mind can only be that he's debating something in his head so its best to clear things out. Who knows it may lead to good things.

I'm struggling with imposter syndrome. I'm from a working class background, c.10 years exp in marketing & c.3 years in snr leadership. I'm in an exe leadership team with all men. It's all very fluid. Frequent restructures. Bitching/gossiping at snr level.

I feel like I'm not good enough, dynamic enough, doing enough. I ask open qz, probing for feedback. It all seems positive/constructive. With the toxicity, I don't trust any of it. Does anyone have any suggestions to navigate and overcome IS?

Any thoughts on finance in P&G or Unilever? Some people says they are mainly marketing / brand companies, so finance is less important (but the ceo is a finance person in P&G??). Also, many people say that the job is so boring and repetitive.. Actually, I'm planning to move from consulting, mostly because of work-life balance. I'm sure it's more boring, but I think it's not a bad opportunity. What are your thoughts?

My husband, who had a successful career but is not yet 40, wants to retire and look after our kids while actively investing our money. I enjoy consulting and will gladly keep working. We also have a good amount of savings, mostly fueled by our frugality during his peak earning years. I feel like I need to support my husband’s dreams while negotiating clear terms.
