Does anyone have any insight on base compensation for in house counsel at Deloitte? Trying to informally figure out whether an applicant’s reported income is within Deloitte’s range or if the applicant is just over inflating current salary in attempts to get a better offer. Thanks.

I'm a Java developer building products in networking domain. I'm strong in converting requirements into design and building products from scratch. I'm spending 12 hours everyday at work, unable to spend any time on brushing up algorithms.
I'm not happy with the money that I make for the efforts that I'm putting in, want to switch to good product company. I wish I get more time to learn and prepare for interview. Just putting my thoughts here.

Counter Offer in Salary Negotiations: So I was initially offered $115k and asked for $135k-140k. They came back to me with $125k. I would like to counter with $130k and add that I will accept this number. Thoughts? I could most definitely desperately use the extra $5k but I don’t want to shoot my self in the foot! What are your thoughts? Am a third year btw!
