What are promotional raises looking like for your firm from associate to senior associate? Apparently GT is only doing a 7% raise (per multiple folks in the GT bowl). In the past, most folks have received at least 15% up to 25% if you exceeded expectations, from what I’ve seen. If other firms are higher, I might consider jumping boats because 7%, even mid pandemic is a slap in the face. Especially for someone who exceeded expectations.
I started a new job recently that included a big raise for me. However the job is not challenging and there is hardly any work to do. My team is very impressed with me so far, but I am working pretty much three hours a day. What would you do in this situation?
Resigned my job and my company made me a counter offer that matches my new job offer. The caveat is that the raise won’t apply until Q2. Why the hell would they even bother making an offer like that?
Just wondering - Do coaches have to pay from their pockets for promoting their coachee? My coach sounds soo negative irrespective of my Manager supporting the promotion decision. Despite my milestone year , good scatterplot and utilisation my coach is still saying at 3.5 years it's difficult to get promotion from analyst to Consultant. I fail to understand the logic behind it where Deloitte is recruiting folks with 3+ YOE as consultant.
I recently learned that a new hire is making significantly more than me. I currently make $58K but am expecting a $10K raise soon. The new hire is making $78K. Their position does not have a bigger work load than me. If anything my position has a larger workload and is more crucial to the organization. I also helped fill in some gaps while we were trying to hire someone for this position. I plan to ask my boss for $80K. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!
So I just found out that I'm being severely underpaid at my job. The average is around 130 for a software engineer 1 at my company and I'm being paid 90. We will have our annual review soon. How should I bring this up without coming off as ungrateful...
Interesting statistic I just saw: Today 50% of women aged 30 do not currently have children. This is the highest it’s been since they began keeping records of it. 🤯
Hello Fishes, Any idea what does career level DM means in Deloitte India (Not USI) ? I have been offered a Senior Consultant role in SAP technology and the offer letter says it's at career level - DM. And if DM means Deputy Manager and then will my next promotion will be to a Manager or means something else ? How many such levels are their for a Senior Consultant, there ? Deloitte Deloitte India

Hello Fishes, I have total 6years 7months of experience, full tenure in Infosys. I got my Technology Lead role change last week. My current package after my promotion stands 8.7 of which around 1.2 is variable. Recently I got an offer from TCS with 12.5 lpa. But the position they are offering is IT Analyst. Since I got my role change to TL already, will joining TCS in IT Analyst be a step down in my career? Suggestions please.
Ladies with no kids, please pick one. (Like the comment that resonates with you the most) 1) You genuinely see yourself as a future mother who wants to raise a baby or two and have a family of more than just you and your spouse 2) You just want kids because you feel like you'll be missing out/regret it later 3) You don't want kids
I have worked for a firm for 10 years. Waited for an AVP (through a promotion) 5 years in (even though doing the work since being hired). I see staff getting VP. And SVP all around me. Manager (in my review) stated he didn’t give it much thought when I asked if I’d be considered for a VP ever. Meanwhile, I report directly to him and work independently. Some work I do there are other VPs who have worked on same. What does it take to get a VP, etc? Years of service?
Hi ladies. I have always struggled with low confidence and imposter syndrome at work. Although the feedback from leadership has consistently been that I am a top performer - I struggle with voicing my opinion and taking the lead on client calls. I’d hoped that working my behind off would make up for it, but I was turned down for a promotion for the second time and feel absolutely gutted. I hate that I am a good worker bee but do not exhibit the leadership competencies - appreciate any advice ❤️
Went for a catch up w my manager to discuss promotion to the next level. Came to the firm w previous experience as a lateral move and was told how great it was and would count...continued
I'm a Tax Staff 2 looking to change to Audit and wondering how it would affect my promotion to senior. Anyone have any experience with this?
I've been pushing for the most part of the year for a promotion to Senior. My CD has given me a lot of responsabilities that are even ACD level even though they brought in a new ACD who isn't working.
how did you reach your level of success, given all of the obstacles women have in front of them? were you promoted from within, or leave for a new role and promotion? what were some of your challenges?
Is it bad to put in <2 weeks notice? Recently signed an offer with a 10% raise to start July 7. However I was notified I got promoted (early) today, effective July 1! New job’s team is amazing and it’s a role in dream industry, but I want the promo to go into effect and have the title and accelerated path on my resume for the future. Any advice on how to navigate?
Have you ever had a raise that was so little you were embarrassed to tell you family? How much was it for? I’ll start, I had one for $2500. I think that nets out to maybe $25 a paycheck. Is that a normal amount?
Where is a new build???

Why do clients think that Accenture can compete against Deloitte? I know the fees are way cheaper but the quality is terrible. (I am not trying to offend people. Just an open discussion)
If I want to jump ship to a different big 4 company, which recruiters are best in NY or do I need to go direct to the firm? (Works differently in the county that I'm from)

Should I take a year off work to travel? Why or why not? If you’ve done something similar, could you share your experience? Any regrets? Any advice?
Thinking of a move to Denver - any recommendations on neighborhoods/apartment buildings?

What does bench life look like for you?
