If someone was to do a second masters after MBA, what would you guys suggest? I have an MBA degree from a top 20 institute in india, been working for the last 2.5 years in consumer insights and market research roles. I am looking to do another master overseas in the next 2-4 years, but I don't want to do business or analytics related courses. Would a literature or philosophy degree add value professionally?
Fairly new to the whole consulting game and really switched careers to consulting to specifically work at McKinsey (long story there but in short, admire the work they do). Got to last round interviews in 2019 but didn’t close:/ started a job at Accenture, fairly new here but just curious about tips on how to plan to reapply to McKinsey and if a shift like that would even be possible without an MBA?
I’m trying to hop between big 4 consulting roles. Presently, I’m a life science PhD and MBA hire to EY with 3+ YOE as a Senior consultant/associate. Do I have any shot at manager roles assuming I focus on life science roles? I’m concerned my lack of manager title kills any chance I have of joining another firm as a manager.
Which privacy cert would you go for, CIPM or CIPT? Debating which I should test for, since I have competency in both. Which has better ROI for career, or in greater demand in industry?
Hi All, I wish to join one of the top consulting firms like McKinsey, BCG, B&C etc. I am currently working as a Business Analyst with a work ex of 3 years. I have started exploring on my own and one thing that came out different were Case Studies interviews and I have started reading and preparing for them. I will do MBA also post working in one of these firms. I was hoping if anyone can help me to prepare better or suggest a plan to land a job for a role that aligns with my ambitions. Thank You
10 YOE (8 Corp finance / 2 consulting), M7 MBA. Don’t think consulting is for me long-term, but don’t have a clue wtf to do next. Any ideas?
If I went to M7 MBA and now do Finance Consulting i.e finance operating model and finance transformation ERP, what exits are available to me that I couldn't get with either just MBA or prior work experience
Would a SHRM certification be beneficial for a consultant in organization strategy? Anyone in a similar boat?

Which MBA programs have the most known brands? For instance while Haas and Tuck may be ranked higher than stern, I’d argue the stern name is more widely known
Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking for years now if I should pursue an MBA program? I’ve heard from many that for some it was helpful and they needed it to get promoted. Others say that currently it can be seen as a waste of money if you don’t need it to be promoted for example. I’m asking because I’ve always wanted to strive to reach the highest level of education I can and I do like to learn but an MBA is an investment and I don’t know if it’s worth it.
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Anyone at Deloitte and Accenture want to refer me? I have a posting for each I am interested in applying for. Thanks.
All - joined a FAANG corporation a month ago. Had several opportunities on the table and left significant money to choose current role because it was aligned with the space I want to grow in. No regrets, but just found out my hiring manager is leaving the team for an internal transfer. There was a new guy coming into our team who will now backfill my managers role potentially. Organic guy, and has stellar rep, but the reason my manager is leaving is because the team goal is unachievable. Advice?
Are manager health, dental, etc benefits firm paid usually? Ive always thought this to be the case, but ive never heard for sure. I know parking and cell phone is usually covered a lot of places.
What do you guys say to introduce yourselves on zoom? I said my name and team, then stopped for the next person to go…everyone stayed silent for a bit because they expected more, and they looked like they thought I disconnected lol 😭

I'm a broker dealer lawyer who was in house for a few years. My position is ending soon and all my offers just seem shitty less than 100K in nyc. I'm thinking about starting my own shop as I truly believe I can do much better than that. I just don't know how I would get clients to start. For background I have a few of my own businesses outside of law that I do on the side that make more than my offers.
Anyone ever used an employment offer from a client you’re currently on to renegotiate salary or not worth the effort?
Being approached for secondment. Love the very small team that is essentially standing up a practice. Would only be for a couple years then come back. Concern - country is poorer and my salary would
I'm wondering what people in public accounting think about their co-workers who are on working visa...
