I am in a confusion,
I work for tcs and for retention, tcs is offering Canada onsite and they need 4 to 5 months to process the visa
I have 2 offers in hand one is CTS (16.3+ 70000) and HCL (19+3)
Hcl is pakka support project (operations) no chance of development. I am having 10 YOE and completely in development.
CTS not sure about project.
Fishes, can you please help me understand which is a better option that I have.
How does cognizant takes for project allocation?

Have a reportee who has joined my team at 8. He is 20L with 4 YOE. Lateral.
From what I have seen so far in the industry - jumping jobs will give you higher packages. Continuing will give you better roles. And both of these is in the initial part. Over a period of time - things do even out. But this would take time. So for immediate numbers - switch. For better roles try improving attributes and gaining new skills. Personally - I am currently trying option 2. Good luck!

There's a salary grid available if you want to know the median salary
But how does this makes sense. A homegrown with 4yoe just being promoted to gr8 will have a pay grid with the max at 14(they generally have 8-10) and laterals hired at 8 are given a minimum of 16-18 even 20. I have worked with other companies who will never hire laterals at such an gap.
