The best solution from a bandwidth perspective is to bring in a short-term person for the duration of the leave, but not sure if your company is willing to pay for that. Assuming that your supervisor is still reachable at the moment, can you ask them to help you find someone and assist with knowledge transfer?

Person finishes projects before leave and put others on hold/reduce scope, redistribute remaining workload around team, add a backfill if needed.
And do it all with at least six weeks of lead time, maybe more.
Sounds like your firm sucks and you should leave.
Time to set boundaries. It’s uncomfortable but if they can ask you to do unreasonable stuff. You can ask them to be reasonable.

This is the reality of family leave. The work gets piled onto everyone else.
The reality should be that the company takes the hit on family leave, not other employees. Not holding my breath for that to happen.
