I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. Choose to work with people / teams that support you and make you feel safe. The sexiest project in the world isn’t worth a toxic team, but you can learn and grow a ton from “boring” projects where you’re surrounded by the right mentors and managers. You win
1- You spend more of your awake time at work than at home- so make sure you are doing something you love and are passionate about and where they desire you for who you are
2- The company culture matters more than just $ bc refer back to #1
3- Be yourself, your whole self. You can’t be one person at home and another at work-they will bleed over and being two people will cause you stress- so be yourself and refer back to #1

Learn the things no one likes, own it and learn to love it. I’ve been in governmental accounting for my whole career so for me that was the budgetary accounting and Statement of Budgetary Resources. I learned to focus on it and learn it well early and now I’m usually sought out for staffing because of it. I’m sure this is easy to apply across most sectors.
