What is the best health insurance offered by Big 4 to get if you are expecting a baby?

Yup, get the PPO with the lowest deductible, highest monthly payment. Having a child, just the pregnancy appointments, hospital stay, labor, delivery, is upwards about $25k-$30k without insurance, with insurance maybe $3k - so you want that to be a low as possible.

Insurance offerings are about the same... the perks are different... I think EYs ~16 week paternity leave is the best if you’re a dude.

I remember Deloitte had a generous maternity leave

Thanka guys. But I was asking about whats the best insurance plan to get when you are expecting? Aetha HF, etc

Some type of ppo with lowest deductible

I had a miscarriage on Tuesday, my first. I didn’t even know I was pregnant. The Dr. was just as baffled by the timing, but here I am. My head is trying to be practical, but my hormones are raging. Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out? I've heard that having a baby can really change things between you and your partner and that a lot of marriages fall apart at that point. Just interested in stories and feedback.

Also curious if one partner kind of pressured the other into having a child/was driving force in wanting the baby.

Hi Moms. I’m 4.5mo postpartum with my first, and I’m having incredible feelings of resentment toward my husband, who I love dearly and with whom I’ve always had a great relationship. It feels like he’s not factoring me or the baby into his decisions (e.g. going on a 4d boys trip, attending big events), while I’m left with the consequences. My mat leave is ending, and he’s now sick with COVID. He’s quarantining at my in-laws while I return to work and take care of baby. I’m so frustrated… (cont.)

Hello HR folks. Overheard a conversation at work and am curious what is the norm.
If an employee goes out on FMLA, obviously the benefits person sends them the STD, FMLA paperwork etc. But is it the maagers responsibility to maintain communication with the person out on leave and to get a timeline on their return or would that be the benefits team? Or maybe the HRBP?
