Depends on what you are looking for. There are kbbqs (personally like Jongro), full variety (her name is han, cho dang gol), and bars (take31). Just to name a few

Help me with my struggle!

I'm in Oklahoma, and an avid Aldi shopper. Prior to COVID, my favorite merlot was routinely stocked there - under $6 a bottle and better than many $30 bottles I've had. It was by Burlwood Cellars. Sadly, supply chain issues have apparently done a number on Aldi's wine selection and it's not carried there anymore. I've searched high and low for a comparable merlot, but to no avail. So I need alternate suggestions or better still, somewhere I can buy my old fav.

Books I’ve listened to while doing cardio this year. All great!

Looking out for desi cricket enthusiasts (Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi etc) to enjoy watching matches together. It used to be so much fun watching all of this together back home.

Would be awesome creating a community doing that, playing fantasy cricket and having all the fun.

Let me know if you’re interested (NJ-NYC area)

The work-life balance sucked this year as everyone is forcing to go back to offices. I'm really contemplating on going freelance but I've not heard many freelancing Project Managers, is this rare? Hello all, I apologize if this is a basic or obvious question. I just wanted to know do any mid size firms hire new grads for FDD positions? Are most of the transaction teams ex-auditors with 2yoe? Thank you!

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

I’m moving to NYC next week from Europe. I have temporary accommodation for when I arrive and thought I’d look for an apartment in Lower Manhattan so I can walk to most places and avoid the subway. After reading all sorts of horror stories on here, do you think Brooklyn is a better choice?
I would like to be in a buzzy area close to restaurant, brunch, easy to move around without subway, ideally without having to worry about horrible things happening 24/7. Thanks!

We have been in NYC for a little while with kids (2/4 yo, we are 33 yo) and even if we are financially well-off, it feels like we can’t buy a house for our lives. We are in the legal industry but potentially could work remotely forever.

Anyone found a city they love outside of NYC where buying a house is doable? We love the diversity we can find in NYC (food, international communities). Any recommendations of cities to look at? Not interested in suburbanish settings.
