Hello Fishes, I am new here and would like your inputs on the Grade, Designation & Basic salary in TCS. 1. Is the Grade - 'C3B' & Designation - 'ASC - Associate Consultant' correct for 11 years and 6 months of experience ? 2. And is the Basic salary offered in TCS very less than the Market standard? Thanks in Advance 🙏🏼

Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

Your network. Who do you know that is close to someone in a forensic practice? Do you have questions about what type of work is done in forensics? I would just start reaching out to people you know that have contacts or just start emailing forensic partners in your area to have conversations about their practice and “learn more about opportunities in the market”.
You are already positioned well because of your strong background in audit. The next piece will be can you work well with unstructured problems/projects. If you can sell your ability to use your current skills in this environment I would see you as a no-brainer for someone in Forensics.
Following - I’m at a firm that does zero forensics work and doesn’t seem open to grow the line
Why do u think it won’t happen for u at PwC? I think a more likely scenario is that you are able to transfer, but it delays being promoted to manager
I do not expect or want help from anyone, but I also don’t want people trying to stop me either. Partners in my group have stopped people from transferring over the last few years.
I was in the same boat at PwC. You should consider switching to another firm. I went non big 4 and don’t regret it at all.
I did. I experienced the same thing - I asked multiple times to even do a rotation and people kept tell me they were “working on it” and then I would find out the only thing they were working was staffing me on the same 2 engagements they promised to switch me off. I would find a contact in forensics and could never get a response for my emails and calls. I like the culture at regional a lot more than big 4. Still the same very smart and capable people, but they actually value you and what you want from your career. Big 4 will try to tell you this isn’t true, but you will always be just a number to them.
