Just be honest. You can talk about how you want to broaden your influence and get new perspectives and you think part of your strategy towards this is to look for a new CC that may be offer you insights into your new career goals or direction. You can say a new cc will assist in your plans of wanting to network with an additional set of people...You can say you’d like to still maintain a relationship as you value their support and insights but it is time to branch off in a new direction. You can mention what you have valued and learned from them. Thank them and wish them well. Happens all the time.

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
