What is the best way to increase credit score? I want to invest in RE in the future but my credit score doesn’t seem to increase. Great advice…. Not. I worry about the ethics of this. We should pay the bills that are owed. Retiring early does not mean cheating companies for services rendered. BTW, hospitals will work with you on a payment plan.

Create an LLC and get a business line of credit instead

likefunny

This is not silly. If you’re going to invest in real estate you’ll need a company. This is what I did: a Delaware S-Corp, and get an AMEX business card. Start building up business credit. Pay it off on time. You’ll have to guarantee the debt, but all of what you spend should be able to be written off of for business purposes. Then, find a project (a good one) and start an LLC to buy it once you get that far. DM me if you’d like to discuss further, but there is nothing “fake” about starting what is essentially a holding company to build business credit. I’d NEVER own property in my own name. You’ll certainly, in my view, need a company if you want to get on the real estate investor train. But you’ll need to improve your personal credit at the same time, as you’ll likely have to also personally guarantee any loan you get to buy property.

Request credit limit increases on your credit cards, especially if they don’t do a hard credit pull.

like

There is usually a disclaimer that says they will do a a credit check before you submit the request.

The collection is killing your score. If it was valid, pay it in full or negotiate a settlement and get that in writing. Other other option is to wait until it drops off. If you care so much about your credit, never miss payments and don’t let anything go into collections.

@Amazon 1 would you share how to get my medical bills removed?

You need to leave some sort of balance on each card every month. I usually leave about $1 to $2. Do not pay your balance in full.

MD, any unknown tips or tricks that you could share?

I’m with KPMG 1 on this . Never give out your SSN unless you have to.
