Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

I'm at 130ish before bonus at 3.5 years. I got this by having a cpa and switching companies at roughly the 2 year mark each time.
Are you at a PA firm? If so, at 10 years of experience you may want to stick out to partner where you will definitely hit those ranges.
Other options include aggressively targeting industries with a high IT risk need (financial services comes to mind) and try to pivot into a compliance or IT audit director role.
Yeah you’d have to be in a high paying industry or a top company to be making in the 250k+ range as a director. I worked at 2 F500s and I know that directors didn’t make that much, probably more in the $160k-$200k range
IT Audit/risk/compliance in a large bank/financial services company. I started my career in Big 4 Risk Assurance and left after 4 years (1 year as a senior). 4 years later I’m making $170 (including bonus) in a LCOL city. Directors here are making over 200 base, and close to or even more than 300 including bonuses.
All 3 lines can make those numbers! Technology risk/audit might offer more job security and sometimes more money, but it’s very easy to make that money in the same role outside of technology.
