What is the best way to land a job with a decent firm? My friend just graduated with a masters in finance and is currently looking

This is not a humble brag (though I realize it’s going to sound that way). I don’t think I understand my body at all. I started doing Noom over the summer and I lost 16 lbs, so I’m at my goal weight. The last few weeks have been really indulgent with lots of heavy meals. I really thought I would have gained a few pounds, but I haven’t. Other times, I will step on the scale and inexplicably be 3 lbs heavier. I am having trouble seeing a correlation between the heaviness of the meal and my weight.

Has anyone had a vaginal birth and had their doctor clear them after more than 6 weeks? My company pays 100% of maternity leave if for medical reasons, but the rest is unpaid. In my third year at PwC in the core audit practice and am interested in switching career paths into (management) consulting. Have my CPA but not MBA. Any advice for how to transition? Switch firms?

I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work. I certainly do not want to do Audit. Would you recommend getting the CPA considering my career aspirations? Do you think it’s worth it? If not, what is the best way to use my time efficiently?

Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.

My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.

I found out a colleague who is the same rank/group/office as me has a 15k higher salary... Isn't that pretty ridiculous?
