What is the best way to negotiate a salary after receiving an offer?

When you get an offer this is what you need to do

1) know what the going market rate is as say you may basically just under that amount already so then you will be near the top of that range

2) negotiate sign on bonus

3) then negotiate title and stuff

4) negotiate benefits or annual target bonus if possible

I always have a list of non-negotiable minimum requirements for these things when I start my job search so if I’m emotional when an offer call comes I can look at it to regain my composure and not accept anything below these thresholds

Hi! You can say that you got a higher offer from another company. You can also use your yoe and expertise.

Help desk analyst, feeling out of place on this app. I will be finishing school & certs soon but have been doing support work for 6 years. Apple support was my first and was a MAC+ T2, but I love a nice Windows Domain environment so have been support MSPs in entry level positions. GA @ $20.75 hour, remote 100%... what would be the next best step for more $$ & more important work and not end user facing. Sys Admin? Cyber Security? Cloud? Networking ? VOIP? I do a lilbit of all of these. Help

Hi all,
I joined
Accenture India few days back. I did not receive any joining bonus and isn't mentioned in the offer letter. Now that I talked to few folks in here, they told you must have insisted on getting it and HR might have given. But, at the time of offer the HR straightforward denied. Did I actually made a bad choice joining without bonus? Can I do anything now?
Thanks

Do you feel optimistic about the UK’s economic future?

I’m British, but left for the US in 2015 initially for a secondment but ended up staying. Dearly miss home, but with Brexit and shrinking of an already small market size, it’s unattractive from a professional stand point.

I could stomach a salary cut if I returned to the UK, but it seems like such a struggle unless you’re earning £250k+ HHI. Maybe it’s just a London thing. Maybe I’m too pessimistic.

Some advice from a regular remote interviewer - If you feel you can justify/maximise your value to a company above the current salary band, apply for the role, impress the heck out of the panel and push for that higher salary. You'll be surprised how open this conversation can be.

Company's have budgets in place for recruitment. Therefore, adjustments can be made to other open/upcoming roles marginally to facilitate recruiting your higher salary request.
