“Social and emotional learning” has been attacked by conservatives. Quoted in the New York Times, Chris Rufo, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, linked social-emotional learning to a wider discussion of race, gender and sexuality teaching in classrooms, and called it “a delivery mechanism for radical pedagogies such as critical race theory and gender deconstructionism”.

I’ve had my Admin Cred since 2007. What keeps me from moving forward is that I would be leaving the kids. I went into Ed to work with kids. Not to kiss someone’s ass. If I wanted to kiss someone’s ass, I would have followed a career in big business and made real money. I am happy making shit money working with kids who appreciate my knowledge and learning from me.
Listening to everyone and their mother's problems. In your classroom at least you know there are boundaries within your class. As an admin your problems are much bigger and your boundaries much wider!
