It’s been a rough couple months professionally for my boyfriend. The job he was at got to be toxic and draining, so was interviewing trying to get a new job, then he finally had an offer and was interviewing with another firm too. The one that gave him the offer only raised his salary by 6k - he was at a nonprofit so was already not making very much. The other company would have been giving him 95k, guaranteed raises, etc. Realistically it was the type of role that would have truly changed..

Considering a move from my firm to government for better work life balance. A move for better pay, better vacation, fewer hours, better benefits, but no bonuses and salary growth opportunities would be less at least in this role. I've worked in the space in the past and felt like a hamster wheel. Have several kids & husband works shifts and I'm thinking it may be time for government pensions, benefits. Broker is asking me to pay entire 1 month rent of a house which is going to be vacant next month.
I have already paid 10k as a token money.
He is also not providing rent agreement or owner's number l.
Should I pay entire month rent i.e 45k?

Cause he was saying that he will rent it out to someone else and won't even return the token money

i work for a group purchasing organization (gpo) and review season is coming up, so i’m wondering whether i should be tempering my expectations or not. note, i’m only referring to standard cost-of-living raises (usually 3-3.5% across most industries) and not performance-based increases.
