What is the bowl’s view on the key differences b/w CBS’s Sept and Jan intake?

Jan means you don’t get a summer to intern. It’s best for people who want the MBA but are pretty dead set on going back to where they came from, but not great if you wanna change jobs

Sept:
-If you want to recruit for industries that take most of their hires from interns (consulting/banking), much better choice
-More standard classmate mix comparable to other peer schools

Jan:
-Not suited for most summer internship recruiting
-Very different classmate mix, 70%+? international with a much heavier mix of sponsored consultants and wealthy family biz ppl, if you’re a standard American person you’re actually the minority...

They’re together from an academic perspective but from a social aspect there is somewhat of a divide given the different experiences that each cohort goes through (orientation, recruiting, etc.).
