What is the ceiling at the Big 4 firms without a CPA? PwC you can’t make senior associate. Are the other three the same or is it you can’t make manager?

Assurance you need to have the exam passed for promotion to senior, which is why I am a 5 year experienced associate .

Deloitte is manager but they shame you by calling you an audit in charge vs an audit senior.

Even for PWC it depends on the groups. I have two friends in Tax who are senior that do not have CPA and are not JDs either. I would say check policy even for PWC. They will miss on great people if their policy is way different than other 3.

like

In tax, you can make manager with either CPA or EA. No need for it to get to senior. I think assurance is different

like

The other 3 allow you to make senior but require you do a CPA for manager

like

Attorney certification, EA, or CPA

like

Deloitte audit keeps you as "in-charge" rather than senior and cant be manager.

like

Not big 4, but rsm you can be senior without.. but need EA(tax)/CPA for supervisor, CPA for manager. Exceptions apply with regional leader approval in certain circumstances.

Grant Thornton is manager

To make manager

Yeah you can make it senior without CPA in PwC. You just can’t be a manager without it.

Cannot make Assurance Manager at BDO w/o having the exams complete. Exception is IS Assurance which you cannot make Sr. Manager w/o.

How about consulting?

BT cert for man

@BDO 1 you need CISA for manager and CPA to be partner in IS Assurance at BDO.

At EY you need CPA to make manager in assurance

I interned at Marcum and they had multiple directors who didn’t have their CPAs

Hey everyone, What would you say is the difference between an account director and a senior account manager. I was just promoted as an account director when I quit my job and moved to the U.K and now having so much trouble finding a job as an AD. Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Friday was complicated. So, I am going to break it down. Nasdaq 100 Futures (NQ) traded to the 9837 level, 32.75 points short of it's 50% HWB short. It then proceeded to sell off like nobody's business to 9846.50, 31.5 points higher than the projected objective for the HWB short. So, if you followed me on the channel, we were positioned for a nice rally at the end of the day. Markets have no memory on Friday afternoon. So, I think we are going up eventually and rally hard.

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
