Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector.
Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting.

Thoughts on all of the layoffs happening?

Travel much, buddy?
Why not take off your shoes and stay awhile
Hire other people who are vaccinated 🙊
^^ this. Unfortunately, there's not really a shortage of people who're going to be willing to take the job (even if it's just short-term).
Hire smarter employees.
Suffer because everyone who is able to think for themselves will have quit.
Lol imagine thinking the vaccine does anything to stop the spread of covid. These people need to open their minds a bit. Amazon PWC and BOA I think if we all put out politics aside we could have a great conversation. There are points on both sides that make a lot of sense.
Probably increase productivity now that all the low IQ/performers are gone.
Attorney 3 - Yep, we are better than this totally. Unfortunately, we’re all giving the governments/media what they want. They loveeee a good distraction and inflicting this chaos by turning Americans against each other is honestly working perfectly as part of the plan to divert people’s attention from what’s actually going on.
Seriously? Why would any organization not fire people who refuse to be vaccinated? Seems like an intelligence question to me.
NYU: maybe you should try taking some classes at that school you work for 😂
Wonder why retention is low and pile more work on the remaining staff.
Hire people smart enough to put medical advice of doctors over politics
C1: That was Fauci trying to get people to stay home that didn’t need to be out so we could preserve the limited supply of PPE for medical and front-line workers in the infancy of the pandemic. Directions change. Just like everything else in life when additional and verified information is known and vetted. People really need to get over the changing direction. The virus didn’t come with a set of instructions.
“ok byeeee” 👋
Can someone kindly share this executive order signed off by Biden (excluding unofficial press release statements) and the Department of Labor’s official guidance for this alleged vaccine ‘mandate’ for all companies with 100 or more employees? Or official guidance from OSHA? Oh wait, that’s right 🤔 - there are none! Stop being fooled by this dog and pony show y’all.
Edited to add: I reread my original post. I asked if he could not find the EOs via google. So I understand why you said this was condescending.
BAH1 I was not trying to be condescending. I am always interested in understanding which regulations are being used. Based on the current regulations there is a mandate via EO for government contractors… with some exceptions because of how the contract work is funded.
I work for a government contractor. I have friends who work for government contractors. There is zero doubt there is a mandate. It may take years for a COR to fire / not renew a contact depending on the type of contact. But there is no doubt CORs (that I know) will follow the EO.
I agree there is no mandate for other organizations via the government. Other private organizations are deciding to mandate or not mandate COVID vaccines via their own policy making.
Thank you for your service. Oh, and no severance
Companies could contest unemployment and win in most states easily. It’s a for cause termination. Whether they would in practice depends very much on the company and the kind of PR they want to get.
Once the first big one takes the PR hit I expect others will do the same. If not big PR hit is taken, then I expect few will contest. Few will want to go first there.
They’ll hire illegal aliens as they have no vaccine requirement.
Exactly the hypocrisy of the whole thing.
Overheard at Southwest Airlines, apparently
Why are you asking people to come back to an office anyway?
I would love to never work with antisocial freaks again
Oh darling please. You're not that important. They'll just hire another vaccinated person
Hire people who are vaccinated
Very simple. They will hire the majority of the population who will get vaccinated. Responding to this question I feel like I’m running a kindergarten but not getting paid.
I would love to see a graph for covid anti-vaxxers US vs Rest of the world 😂
Brutal
I have been hearing a different version of the question..
“How many people will the company fire because they won’t get a vaccine ?”
Government contractors have to fire employees without a vaccine or there has to be an accepted reason for not getting the COVID vaccine…. or they will lose their contract.
Way too many people seem to be delusional. An employee says “religious belief won’t let me get the COVID vaccine”. Then they hand over a letter from their priest to demonstrate “sincerely held religious belief”. The organization can still say that there is no suitable accommodation and fire them.
Government expenditure is around 35% of GDP. I don’t know how much is the government contractors, but it is a large chunk of money. This is a large number of companies.
Spread the workload on those who are left. Another opportunity to save $ and further burden the remaining workforce, who will continue to get 1% annual raises.
