What is the culture like at Kearney? Heard from a couple contacts that WLB has really suffered during the pandemic while others are really happy with where they’re at. Can anyone provide some more insight?

Hi All, I joined Deloitte a few months back. I have not been able to adjust to the work culture and stress and pressure of my work. There are literally days when I just feel lost, so much that I have slipped into depression. I don't enjoy my job at all and I'm seriously thinking of quitting without any backup. I am thinking of taking a break for 2-3 months and just focus on my mental health. How bad of an impact it will have on my career and how difficult it will be to find a new job again?

I have offers with Bain (Sr mgr) and BCG (PL2), and will be focusing on their PE practices. I know Bain is the leader in PE work, but having trouble deciding which offer to go for. Biggest factors for me to consider is career progression (in consulting), culture, optionality in the types of deals/projects. My conflict right now is I had better interactions with BCG interviewers and initially leaned that way, but the infrastructure & market presence of Bain in this space is strong. Thoughts?

I just matched with a guy on a dating app and he asked me what my race is almost immediately. For context, I’m Indian American, light skinned and he was Indian American as well. I find that Indian men often ask me my race and when they find out I’m not half white but am fully indian they unmatch me, but no white man has ever asked me my race. Hi all, happy new year! I'm considering an industry offer versus a technology consulting firm. The former is a bit higher TC ~$15k. Both are comparable culture wise somewhat; the teams have great coworkers; and the work would be interesting to me. My gut feeling tells me to go with the latter as I might narrow myself a lot. I'm seeking any reasons/factors you fish can suggest to corroborate that. I like both stability and novelty, slowness and speed; I'm flexible so becomes a bit tricky lol!

Random Thought - Do you feel Deloitte has deteriorated it's quality. I observed following changes when I compare now and what it was 5 years ago: 1. Hiring inefficient people.
