ER is basically IA without the IT skillset. TR is the IT skillset for financial audits, SOC reports, and IA support.

Hi Everyone! I'm currently recruiting for 2 in-house opportunities with a mission-driven FinTech startup based in Los Angeles. Both roles are remote, but the company is prioritizing CA based candidates. As such, you must be CA barred/or able to become RHIC.

The first role is for a Sr. Lending Counsel. The client is looking for someone with a strong financial services background to provide business and strategic counsel to internal business partners in support of (cont. below)

Finally got two PGT normal embryos from my third ER. My lining got to 10 during all of the retrievals and I have regular periods, and I’m doing IVF for genetic issues not fibroid/polyp or hormonal issues. How likely am I to end up with a live birth? Will the Dr level set with me or will they never do that to control expectations?

Hi tax 🐠,

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?

Tax question - I make about $200k and get half of my income from a W-2 and another half from being an independent contractor. Because, I’m subject to pay both FICA and SECA taxes. Do my social security taxes get capped on amounts paid above the ~$140k threshold across both my W-2 and 1099 incomes or am I out of luck and have to pay more than that since only about 100k of my income is FICA and the other 100K is SECA (which is subject to ~12% overall including the ER portion)?
