Most don’t. I’ve seen attempts to use RPA when healthcare companies shift over to cloud based ERP platforms.

Yes - lean and six sigma are IE 'light'. I've done process improvement work in that arena, even teaching lean to nurses and doctors. Most practical applications have been in the up front design of new clinical workspaces. Mayo's surgical suite layout is a great example of this - mayo in general. They have a large team of IEs.
I meant actual IE work that includes more mathematical modeling, computational methods, wiring theory, etc.
In application, I've worked on things like predictive analytics and optimization of surgery schedules. Better patient scheduling to reduce wait times while still fully utilizing most expensive resources. Prediction of delays for patients in downstream clinics (patient needs to go get scans and blood work before coming to another clinic).

Will be interesting to see if RPA and AI become more than buzz words in healthcare. I have had a couple of companies hit me up about RPA/AI related roles in healthcare. I am wondering if I should focus my energy on learning the stuff on a deeper level!
@OP - How's KP? Are you in CA? Covid effects?

Oddly, I have never worked on a KP project. I have had plenty of consulting interviews but the rate has always been low. My target exit is KP or Blue of CA...
