What about Sadden… i mean, Skadden?

From what I’ve read about typical billables, I’d expect Wachtell, Cravath, Kirkland, and Quinn to compete for those honors. But that’s just from a grind perspective. Stress also depends on who’s supervising you, who’s running your department, and how prone you are to anxiety.
A brief high-jacking of your thread: I find that my stress levels correlate more with the balance of appreciation and criticism that I receive than the hours I’m working. I’ve been stress free on the eve of trial at 300+ hours per month. I’ve also been in the verge of giving notice while dealing with an absolute nutcase at 160+ hours per month.
Back to business and back to stressful firms: My understanding is that Cahill is very high stress, almost without exception. QE and Skadden stress levels are based entirely on the department.
latham, STB, cadwalader, skadden, weil, cahill, milbank, ropes (as of recent years)…so so many. depends on the group and ppl tho

Stress is more about performing at exhaustion. Cravath fits this bill.
As a CSM associate, this is exactly it.

There’s nutcases at every firm. I’ve worked 15 hours in a month on a case and been totally miserable and had all encompassing cases with good people be far more tolerable.
