I am in the healthcare space - please tell me everything- companies to stay away from, salary ranges to expect, etc. Any info helps because I am looking to stay somewhere long term after being unexpectedly let go.

Had HR discussion yesterday for BA role and for the associate level they mentioned the band they currently have upto 11.7lpa and my current salary is 10.8 with 2.5 yoe.. Although the hr mentioned he would check with the project team and offer a better compensation. Do they really change the ctc post discussion or is it based on the defined band itself? It is good profile but yes the hike is too low.

Firm pulled my offer after I tried to negotiate comp (even though others at similar funds said offer was under market) saying that they want someone who really wants to be there and have a bunch of people who are willing to drop everything to work there and not ask “questions about comp or title”. Did I mess up or dodge a bullet?
