Does anyone have insight on the promotion structure at Deloitte? If you come in with 3 years audit experience would it be 2 more years to make manager? Or is it basically 3 years to make manager no matter what
Since last 2quarters there has been no promotion list released in TCS. Does anyone have any idea when list should be released from C2 to C3A ? Tata Consultancy
Was just told my HOP is leaving in 3 weeks and they’d like me to takeover. Medium sized agency with a range of clients big and small. 20+ person dept. Wondering what percent raise I might get and/or negotiate?
Big4 MD vs a non Big 4 (GT/RSM) or Boutique (CFGI/A&M) Partner. Any thoughts on which is a better path for longer term compensation and leadership opportunities. For context, am a high performing MD - been in top 5 PPMD by book of business in my practice for last 5 years and endlessly waiting to for a Partner promotion. So thinking to move on and try non-Big 4’s.
KPMG AAS vs EY FAAS? Can someone please provide more information on EY FAAS. Also when s the EY year end / promotion month. ThanksEY
Always had this stupid idea but will throw it out here for more perspective!
I know labor unions are not allowed but if we collectively raise our voice and ask for better compensations and/or work life balance will it really make a difference. I know talent surveys happen but find it falling on deaf ears.
Deep down I really want Deloitte to come out of this mess they have created starting 2020.
I want to feel the pride of having this name associated with my career again…
When do you tell your employer that you're pregnant? I'm in public accounting and my due date is 4/4/2023.
We have an informal process of mid-year promotion that those who get promoted would be notified at the end of December.
I don't know if I would get a promotion but I'm definitely hoping for one. Main concern is if I disclose that I'm pregnant, I would be passed on the promotion potentially. I know they're not supposed to but we all know what reality is.
Would you disclose early or wait?
Got an offer at NatWest chennai. Pay is decent. After submitting resignation, i got promotion initiated as well. But package wise NatWest is way high. Pls pour in your suggestions in terms of job security, propagation regulations in NatWest.
Am I underpaid? ~$170k TC for 5 yoe, senior consultant in cyber strategy. I didn’t get much of a raise this year (8%) despite good performance and promotion. So I’m just wondering where the benchmark is
Ever work with in or with a team, see a piece of creative that looks suspect (potential stereotypically or offensive) and have to decide if your gonna raise your hand and be that guy?
Looking for some advice. I have been in the fraud industry for 7 years. I went back to school a couple of years ago and will graduate in November with a BS in Finance & Economics. I’m considering a career change from fraud to something with higher pay potential. Once I graduate. I currently make 56K a year. Any advice on what type of job to go after? I’m on board with getting certifications if that’s what it takes to raise my value/pay. Any advice would be helpful.
If i get promoted in October , will i get annual merit increase too along with promotion hike?
Can anyone please comment on the same?
Should I ask for promotion after working in Tax for 5 months? I had a 5k sign on bonus, with a ok start up salary. We had some changes in management recently, and I had to step up to train new employees and showing new hires how to utilize our system and softwares. Even had to show our new manager how to do things cuz she came from non PA company. I didn’t have that much of experience when I was hired but I feel like I and working like an senior now cuz other coworkers ask for directions daily.
Promotion from Manager to SM grade - how much of a jump in compensation is it in general?
I returned to my job after leaving, and was told that I wouldn't get a 6 month raise since I was a returning employee. I was passed up for a promotion/ payraise for by someone who has been here less than half the time. I am a top performer and have incredible numbers to back that up. How do I go about asking for a raise?

I cleared Tech Interview for BA role in Accenture India. Received a mail saying 'you have made it to HR interview'. Post that I received call from HR for document uploading and all necessary documents were uploaded, also EAF completed. But, no further proceedings happened till date. It's been 5 days post document uploading no HR interview, no offer letter.
Can I wait? Any suggestions?
Have a SM offer at Deloitte S&A aligned with an industry and customer strategy focus. Thoughts on path to MD or Partner for someone joining from outside? What will be most challenging and timeframe?
Anyone here living in a part of Manhattan that isn’t filled with crime and homelessness? Seems like the whole island has gone downhill and I don’t even know whether there are any clean or safe parts remaining!
I am having negotiations with a start up company, that i dont wish to join. Is it unethical to accept offer letter and then not join. The letter would help me in negotiations in other companies.

Nurses (or anyone) in biotech/pharmaceuticals/medical device sales: I am interested in making a switch and growing my career in one of these fields. Love the idea of making greater scale impact on patients. Looking for tips and advice on how to break into the industry as I start the process. Currently have 10 years of experience as an RN ranging from Multi-system/transplant, cardiac, and burn/trauma ICUs, to NICU and currently pediatric ED. Please feel free to DM me instead. Thanks in advance!
Patent litigators - how many hours a week do you work to stay on track with your billable hours req? Currently work solely in prosecution and always hear people say that pros has a better WLB but I personally don’t think pros has good WLB to begin with. 150 hours a month on a pure prosecution docket is a struggle.
Does it grind the gears of anyone else in EY forensics to see your college counterparts in audit get promoted on a more set schedule than our practice? This year we have so many S4 and M4s and I can’t help feeling behind

Lost a high performing SM to an industry job earlier this month. They were on track to becoming a Partner in 2022 but still decided to take an industry job which pays $400K. I tried to explain that they would make $600K as a first year partner and the income can go up to $1M in next 5-6 years. They still refused to stay in consulting because they think that becoming a Partner is just the beginning of the rat race and did not want to deal with sales/revenue targets for the next 20 years 😔😔
Partners: would you mind sharing your “gross” salary progression through the years? Heard from one EY partner that he was Year 1 = 400, Year 2 = 500, Year 3 = 600, Year 4 = 750, Year 5 = 1M. Wondering how accurate is it? I am sure the above numbers would require upward inflation adjustment to be applicable today.

I’m trying to find a good exit opportunity & need advice on how to connect with an executive recruiter for good options. Any advise on how to move this forward?
When equity partners switch firms and say they’re “bringing my book of business”, what does that actually entail? Are they voiding current contracts and having the client sign a new one with the partner’s new firm? What happens to existing projects the partner is in charge of then leaves?
Why do partners do not talk or acknowledge or talk about when valuable people leave the firm ?
Still a longshot, but giving it another go 🙏🏼
Partners - how stressed would you say you are on a daily basis because of work? Does the money actually make it worth it to you (like can you actually even enjoy it outside of work)?
Anecdotal, but for us it seems to be three external for every one internal promote.
25:75 is high (external) for a strategy firm. I thought 50:50 is high.
10-15 to 1 at EY consulting. (partner only, not md)
