Daddy D is throwing around some pretty crazy referral bonuses right now. If I can hit four referrals, I’ll split evenly among all four + myself. Up to $10k per person and at least $2.5k per person. Put it in escrow and everything. So if you’re looking to change firms, a new opportunity, etc. DM me. Can easily negotiate a nice sign on bonus, and my offer should sweeten the pot.
Public tech company securities/corporate counsel offer received Base $230k No equity or bonus What should I push for in negotiations?
In a world of remote consulting work…. How long can the US maintain its high premium over European and, esp. developing market consulting? Both price tag to clients and significantly higher salaries for the people. I imagine may move faster at Big 4, etc. than MBB, but within MBB the huge cost and salary differentials feel… increasingly hard to maintain (even though I think the differential has actually gotten bigger, not smaller in the last two years). Thoughts?
How bad is it to job hop? How can I prevent burning bridges when I do? I accepted an offer as a recruiting manager a month ago and I’m supposed to start training on Monday. However I finally received an offer from a start up tech company and the salary is double my offer. Plus the work culture is awesome. I’m an idiot if I say no. I know I’m supposed to do what’s best for me, but I really like the first company and kinda feel bad for messing them up and leaving them without a manager.
I'm young (28yrs old) and I just got a new job, and I'm now making almost 2x more than my friend group and they always have a comment about how much I make saying "I'm rich now.. etc. etc" (which I'm clearly not) and at first I would chuckle and shake it off but now its starting to get to me a bit because I've earned my salary through my experience and I don't know how to confront them about how its making me a bit uncomfortable to be around them because of their comments. What should I do...?
How old were you when you bought your first “dream car”? Doesn’t need to be expensive one. What was the price of the car and what was your salary?

Which one is better in terms of career growth, job security, hikes and wlb. 1- PWC India - kolkata location (hometown) 2- Accenture - Bangalore (relocation not an issue) Fixed and joining bonus is same. Variable in ACN is 27%. PWC variable is not mentioned and is performance based. Also I heard that ACN is not that good with variables. Thanks in advance.
Hi any one has given interview for Cyient in networking profile If yes please suggest me what should I prepare ?? And what should I say about expected salary ?
We all weigh exit opps from a comp perspective here and not career growth / trajectory as much. I’m rejecting an offer for 210K TC (110K current TC) because it doesn’t have the growth / trajectory I want from my next role. Tell me I’m not being dumb lol

Is it rude to suggest to a new analyst that she needs to look more professional, e.g. don’t show up with wet hair to client meetings (even if on Zoom)? FYI I’m also a female and just trying to look out for these new hires
Hey All, I got a call for a Business Product Strategy lead in a FAANG. Any guidance on the profile or on the interview process?

I’m not a shy person, but I’ve always had issues speaking in front of groups. I grew up with a lisp (which I’ve since overcome), but I still stumble over my words a lot. I think COVID has exacerbated this a lot since I’m not able to see my teammates or read their body language. I’m a scrum master, so leading calls is sorta in the job description. Any suggestions on how to become a better professional speaker?
Has anyone on H1B here been laid off and found a job within the 60 day graces period? If so, what was your strategy?
Anyone who renege and get any backlash? I signed an offer with a big 4 for full time and am still interviewing with other companies. ( Was an intern last summer and my offer got pushed out to summer cause my masters is 1.5 years and I graduate in December (In my defense the big 4 refused to let me go to another practice.) Plus pressured by parents to accept something before I graduate.
Two of my really good friends at work have had their work dry up in the past few months (because of the Rona). I'm like two months ahead of them on hours, and they're worried about not making their minimum billable requirements. Feel sort of guilty and try to avoid talking about hours with them. I'm just hoping the firm doesn't give them trouble...
6 months in at a new firm. 4th year attorney. Completely new practice area from what I did previously. The partner often sends the random potential client call ins my way. Many times, they have questions related to things I’ve never done and he only provides guidance if I can pull him away from something else to ask. I’m super low on hours but feel that it would be ethically wrong to take on a case involving an issue Im totally unfamiliar with and not confident handling. Wrong approach?
What are the ledger growth expectations (dollars or %) at your firm this year? I’m finishing the first year as a new tax partner (not B4). Started with 1.9million ledger and grew to 2.7million with pipeline worked from past years that turned to wins. The pandemic hasn’t allowed much time or travel to refill the pipeline. Now there’s pressure to add 500k and grow to 3.2million by end of 2nd year. Feels like a big number for a second year tax partner.
