Just bought my first house in Austin! Where’s a good place to buy some art for a reasonable price?

After many years in this business I haven’t been promoted beyond my current title of Senior Art Director. I recently was hired by an agency I respect, but most of my colleagues are considerably younger and outrank me. This is taking an emotional toll because I feel that if haven’t been able to move up in my career I either don’t have the needed talent or drive, or both. And now I’m in environment that reminds me that I got quite behind. Any words words if wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Who's more likely to move up: those who deliver great work consistently or those who know more people?

Holding Bitcoin (and many other store of value coins like LTC etc) are a personal statement that fiat currency issued by a government is susceptible to inflation and not the best value to invest in.

I don’t want to see the US dollar replaced per se, even though I hold bitcoin and believe in its future. But Governments defiantly won’t want their currency to be replaced and will do everything to avoid this

I don't know what career should I pursue. Went to B4 audit because I thought accounting goes well with me. Got a CPA with decent score and moved to FDD. Work is better than audit but still not super fun. Tried to go to IB but modeling seems not that fun and WLB was bad so I backed off. Now trying to pivot to consulting but casing is not fun... anyone having these types of chaotic situation?

Looking to get out of public accounting and applied for a Staff Accountant position. The company is known for having a great culture and I’m thinking the schedule will be much better. I’m thinking the compensation will be similar in the new position as what I’m making now so I wouldn’t be getting the normal jump in pay people expect when leaving public accounting. If I were to be offered the position, should I take it? Should I expect a better position if I’m looking for an accounting type role?

As a high performing Tax Senior 2 in financial services, at what % pay raise would you consider switching to industry?
