Did some work for a small hospital and to save money they insisted consultants stay in a hospital room. First night a nurse came in my room at 2:00 am.
@D3 why the fuck did we ever agree to that
My client "complimented" about how good looking everyone from our firm on the project was. Then adds, so you are all traveling every week ... You can't tell me you're not all hooking up. Oh good god.🙄
D4, good question. It was pre-D but still a major firm. I left the project the next day. I didn't want to have a leg taken off by mistake.
Once my manager made a 9/11 joke. He said something along the lines of, "I was sweating more profusely than a 9/11 hijacker..."
The room went pin-drop silence for 30 seconds. Weirdest 30 seconds ever.
^ to be fair, being from the Caribbean is super interesting. But that's a pretty condescending thing to do- you're not some animal at a petting zoo
A consultant made an analogy comparing me with some animal at a petting zoo
Client said he was glad to see a man join the team because the ladies just weren't getting it done to the level of quality he wanted.
A client touch my hair and said "you're so exotic... I love it...." My hair was curly...and I'm from the Caribbean... Not sure how that's exotic 🙄
Holy shit it sucks being a woman it seems.... what 🐷s
My client complimented on how much "value" I added "above and below the table" after looking me up and down... the ones like that are the worst.
I had an engagement lead ask me to walk to his car (I had to talk to him about a task) and he proceeded to take out his camera and take pictures of me.
I was out with a bunch of clients at a bar, and after hearing that I had just gotten married, one client started describing his sex life in detail to illustrate how boring married sex is. Stuff like "I tried anal but that's not my thing. We dressed up in costumes, but that got old after a little while, too." It gets worse, but that will get this reply flagged and removed.
And I thought my client were weird!
Attempted to make out with me multiple times (after I had refused)
My client asked me to monitor his employees and come up with a way to fire them by openly exposing their weaknesses in front of him and his colleagues.
Had a client that would not stop sharing about her sex life and the size of the goods. Painful.
Happens to males all the time, but women are more discreet about it. I can tell which one are eye-fucking me.
Had a (female) client refer to one of the guys on our team as "eye candy".
When it crosses the line to harassment, do people report? I had something happen to me and was not going to tolerate it/ever see the person again. Wondering if other ppl make the same choice and how they move on...
