Was given an offer for a 87% raise, going to aim for 90% lol
But usually I always say it’s not worth moving without at least 25% raise
I’d shoot for the stars. I got a 70% increase when I switched tho I was severely underpaid at my previous firm and probably could’ve gotten more if I had just asked
What was your jump? I’m considering switch from one big 4 to another at the senior level but into a different service line
Sheesh I can't even fathom how much work I feel like I'd be expected to do for 30% more comp haha. I'm probably only a little underpaid right now from what I can tell, so maybe that's why. But if I interviewed and was offer that much of a bump I'd be looking around wondering what the catch is. Like, am I selling an organ?
For context GPS, $13xK, only a 6.x% bonus last year, 3+year at level, growing responsibility (so yeah that bonus was insulting). Too much more information and I'll likely dox myself and I know my leadership is on here hahah
The reason I am asking is I am currently discussing my low salary with Deloitte HR, so I am asking for 23% and giving reason saying if I switch, I would anyway get 20-30% outside too.. I shouldn't look crazy asking for that.. so just confirming.. :-)
You won’t! Do you have another offer in hand? That helps these conversations go your way. If not you’ll need a partner involved in those discussions.
I don't at the moment, but I told my TBA that I am actively applying for competitors and may switch.. She said give me a figure that you are looking for before you start to look for job..I am currently at 109k at Project Delivery Manager level. I am expecting atleast 135k. Fair or I am quoting low?
Is that pdm in GPS or commercial. 135k in gps isn't impossible but it is stretching it. At least you've got a lower overhead/wrap rate in your career model to keep you profitable. Assuming that is, you're billable as at least Project Lead LCAT or Analytics Project Lead (these are DOD/ federal lcats, no idea if they translate outside DOD/federal)
I left for about 50% more after bonus consideration. Totally worth it. I also had to relocate to a higher COL area. If I could stay in my original location, I wouldn't have left for less than 20-25% more.
Last jump was 42 percent. To be frank I wouldn't really leave a job for less. Fortunately that hasn't been too difficult the last few.
Been around 30-40% for me in the past. My last jump was 33%
My jump was 7.5%. Lateral...
