How many YOE? L5 is very broad at Amazon

My offer post-MBA was L6 for Sr Product Mgr. Seems low.

I have 10 yrs of experience. 4 yrs pre masters then completed my MS in CS and now 6 yrs.

I was M2 at Deloitte and got Level 5 at Google. I know SMs 1-3 who have entered at same level (5). Not sure how a Google 5 compares to an Amazon 5 though. People I know at Google with L6 usually have 15 yrs experience or so if that helps.

Yep 5 is correct leveling

Comp package will very much depend on location. I was in the same boat as you and moved to FAANG 1 month ago. Feel free to DM me.

L5 is accurate. Amazon also isn’t a place where you typically enter at a higher level than where you’re at.

You should get L6. What's your total experience?

I have 10 YOE in app development, testing and project management

L5 or L6, MBA's come in at L6

In the early stages of interviewing at a large company for an in-house role. They volunteered some basic comp information at the first interview to be transparent. A large portion of the comp (40%) comes in the form of RSUs. If we progress further, what questions should I be asking about the RSUs? The vesting schedule is key. Thoughts on pros / cons of this form of comp? My biggest concern is that the base salary is too low for me to comfortably live on…but the “total compensation” is great!
