What is the overall compensation offered to a first year Manager at BCG India?

Recruiter messages about opportunities; I ask for a JD/salary, sharing my general job/title expectations; he replies with a lengthy tome about how he wants to get to know me and my expectations and doesn’t spam JDs.

I acquiesce and agree to a call. He postpones last minute due to a client call, then stands me up the next time. No reply on LinkedIn. Is this a common experience?

Anyway, I feel extremely validated in insisting on a JD/salary range before blocking time during business hours.

Alvarez and Marsal is wanting me to come in at an associate level although I’m a senior in Big 4 FDD. Thoughts on this? Person told me associates at A&M get around 90k base plus bonus and seniors there get around 120 plus bonus. Should I push for Senior, and how would I even do that? I already verbally expressed that desire. Should I just wait a few months till I have more than a year of senior experience? Any associates shed light on their bonus? Is it 100% of your salary or more like 20-30%?

Is it a common practice to take the salary that HR may provide for a candidate and lop off 10% and call it a bonus? I’ve seen this happen and it seems like a weird thing to do. But maybe I’m wrong.
