To have fun!! From an Atheist's perspective..Life is just a fortunate/unfortunate accident, but not that it has happened one should try to make the most out of it. And when I say most out of it, I mean having maximum fun and being most successful and all the scams. Success is a scam that rich people potray so that poor can work their life off for them and they can get more richer. I mean satisfaction of life, it can be with family or friends or something else. Personally, I work 8-10 hours for good money which I can spend to have fun!! I have no foolish ambitions of working 14 hours a day to become a CEO of some company and die. Because then I'll be remembered after I die but I technically I won't live😅.. And the reason I mentioned Atheist at the start is because I don't waste my valuable time and money after an imaginary man on the cloud so that my after life goes well. For me, there was nothing before life and there will be nothing after it, whatever it is, this is it Sounds very pessimistic and probably misleading to many, but that's what the purpose of life is for me😇

Indeed everything happened by chance. Sorry, but all evidence currently suggest it was all by chance. I do realize that most people want to believe a power behind every event as that sounds less scary and that's all God does for humanity, it is something on whom we can blame the unknown. Heck, when you got conceived in your mother's womb, the chance of exactly you being born was 1 in million which does sounds like a chance to me😅✌️

What most of us are after is: Work - Earn - Save throughout our life and then when it's time to enjoy, your body won't support you. What you earn should not be judged by others on basis of experience, field and skills. What matters is you should be happy with how much you're spending on the right things. You can have a fat seven digit income a month with almost no time or even your family to spend with, What's the point then?? Every now and then one must revisit the purpose of his life, are you really happy with what you're doing? We tend to move to big cities, go abroad and leave alone our old parents behind. How much are you spending on things that is not related to work or skill development? If your sole aim is to achieve a big fat pay package, showoff materialistic things, become rich? If so, you already don't have an AIM in life

Very sentimental S1. Which one of these is your purpose? Taking care of parents? Anything else?

Side effects of working in consulting firms 😀

Birth -- seh legay thoda -- death This is life

Control Uday, control

To get multiple offers in notice period

LOL! What about after that? What is your purpose after you've chosen one?

To experience service based company and pathetic leadership and onsite and to take pran not to be part of any service based company ever atleast in india.

I agree on this point 😂

No wonder someone from ZS posted this!

ZS3 too used to a paycheck every month to give that up And with my work ex will have to try for something like an ISB which would cost me atleast 50 lacs - tuition fee and opportunity cost And imagine going back to the rat race after that!

Bhai/Behn, Tumhe chadh gayi hai! 🤣

Zindagi ek nasha hi to hai dost

Being wealthy not rich!

Rich dad poor dad will teach you how to make money.

Try some activities which gets your adrenaline pumping. Rock climbing, Kart racing, competitive sports, cheating on your partner, paintballs, getting chased by someone (most probably your partner) and so on. That's when you may start enjoying and having fun and not think about anything else. Cheers!

Wait, was that a typo?

OP right now... PURPOSELESSNESS ⚔️

To love It is the power of love that makes you do the things you do. You love your family therefore you strive to provide basic needs for them You love your work therefore you attain excellence in it. It is the power of love that makes us human

To Experience the Varied Things of Life

Didn’t Shami showed that today? ;)

And Bumrah. And then Siraj at the end. Jessssss!

Konta maal chadaya hai mujhe bhi yeh maal chahiye. xD

To earn money and die one day leaving all that money

This what we call Monday Blues !! 🙃

Maybe. Maybe not

Zindagi ek kiraye ka ghar hai Ek na ek din badalna padega Maut jab tujhko awaaz degi Ghar ke bahar nikal padega !

Isiliye kahta hu kar jao aisa kaam gali gali se awaaz aaye Abba Jaan Abba Jaan 😂

Find the balance! Follow your heart while you also manage to keep your mind at peace. Travel, explore cultures, cuisine, music, landscapes! Keep the ones you love happy, sing it out, shake a leg, stay goofy. Most importantly, be kind to everyone you meet and spread light!

Shake a leg means to dance

To exist and live in the moment. We are similar to other animals. Our agenda is same as any other organism. Survive , Reproduce, Die. Try and dominate other organisms if you can.

Yup. Now it's not overt. We unknowingly do it.

It's something which when you will figure out ,you will be the happiest man on earth. It will give you inner peace, and the way of achieving that is through meditation.

Hence, the question...

This is looking great!

Wtf is up with all these announcements of the the employer you picked on LinkedIn? I am 33 and don’t understand this? All of sudden everyone thinks they are Lebron James and the decision? Gtfoh...

Google or Deloitte .. same salary almost same role. What would you choose?

Has anyone dealt with narcissistic Indian parents and found happiness back? I am in tremendous grief because of issues between my mother and wife and the lack of rationale or empathy is unbelievable. They essentially want me divorced when neither has done a single thing wrong. Orthodox parents who moved into my home recently from India (yes - dumb move).

Talk about Rewards & Recognition! Way to go EY!

What training can I take to get better at building slides?

I'm no military expert but why is the Ukraine waiting for the Russian military convoy to get to Kyiv? Wouldn't it be best to disrupt the convoy and prevent them from getting closer to the city?

I started listening to Dave Ramsey, and now I am so discouraged. I am currently making 130K a year and taking home around $2750 bi-weekly after taxes. His baby steps state that no more than 25% of your take-home should be spent on housing. That leaves me $1381 to spend on rent/mortgage. Looking to buy a house this year, but the max I can afford would be a $175,000 home on a 15-year mortgage. How is that even possible in this market? I live in a MCOL/HCOL. Are people able to follow this?

My boyfriend was referred to the firm and has been treated terribly by recruiters. On the phone today they literally said to him “let’s look at your resume and see if you are up to our standards.” Wtf

Accenture Strategy vs Monitor Deloitte? And why? 🤔

Got an offer from Alix vs. Slalom vs. Deloitte! Would love to hear from the culture and your perspective from the fishes working at the firm. (Focusing on culture and career growth) From interview, Alix seems to be my fav, but doesn’t mean the other two are not good.

Why is ok to work long hours in consulting? Why are we ok to work on weekends? Sure, not all, it is only a few right? How come we have normalised this way of working? Sure, we get paid enough to not crib about it but isn't the amount justified for the value we bring to the table. Is it not fair to ask for OT or compensation leave? Is it not fair to ask for weekend hours to be billable. Even if you are married to work, isn't it logical to value the hours vs amount? Any thoughts?

Industry hires (not straight out of school) into consulting- what are the biggest challenges you are facing/faced? How did you overcome them? At what point did you start to feel comfortable? Mine for example, is being fast at building slides and beautifying them. Managing firm building activities and project work leading to long hours (>15), no wlb. Im four months in and still feel incredibly new.

Had to share.

Interviewed at Harvard, MIT, and Columbia for their MBA programs - only accepted to Columbia. Disappointed because while Columbia seems fun, the H brand is pretty nice. Worth reapplying next year or taking C now?
