What is the reason you left your last job and do you regret it?

Is it worth it to go into acting for the pay only? I've received a couple opportunities with decent pay, and while this is not the path I want for my life, it's all I have at the moment.

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Have an opportunity to go to a small vc firm as an associate from consulting (platinion) with terrible wlb but pretty great compensation (90k+20% bonus). What do you think? Is it worth it given the pay cut, probably looking at something like 70k, but interesting deep tech focus. How likely am I to make it to principal and partner?

CS and SWE is great in that it can be applicable to a great range of fields, to create immensely helpful tools for other things.

What are some areas where SWE intersects with things that help people, country, and the world? Now also add in making a decent living and generally competitive with other SWE “industry”.

Things that come to my mind are government-related, military, some fintech. Sciences have great need of computing, and can have big impact, but income is less clear.

Hello! I have been a Pharmacy Technician for about 9 years now and I need to move on. My salary is in the mid 50s which is considered high for this role, so there is little opportunity to advance with this title. I've been applying relentlessly to other positions within and outside of my company. I have a BS in Biology and MS in Health Systems Management, but have struggled to land something else that I'd like to do in healthcare/pharmacy that pays better. Any suggestions??

I have been nominated for Band promotion in my current company but will be effective from Jan2023. As per my research I will get 30-40% hike as well as I am eligible for annual hike on March 2023
So how can I stick with 90% hike on CCTC on HR discussion tomorrow?
What if HR negotiate for 30-50%...can I inform them about promotion before hand once they ask why I am expecting 90% hike?
