A2 - exactly! Why bother to make to MD at 31,if your kids will have seen more of the neighbor or TV than you in their first 12 years growing up?

35 is the youngest I’ve heard
Met a McKinsey partner who was 30. I believe he’s one of the youngest ever in the firm
29 at my old firm. 3 of them. But this appears to be very dependent on economic conditions. They were all Dot Com Boomers
When I went to OW recruiting events one of the selling points was meritocracy and quick path to partner. Apparently the firm record is 5y from new hire to partner, which would put the person at around 27 😱😱😱

BCG1 - who worked like a horse to make partner at 31 will not suddenly stop right after and become a father role model.
I met few who made partner at 31-33 and none of them had really experienced life outside work in their 20s. Travel the world, holiday in Europe and Asia, enjoy life...
Heard about the famous Mckinsey partner at 29 or 30.
