What is the highest a manager in LA advisory can make (base and bonus), I’m at 3rd year senior (up for promo) that will be making about 95 to 100k base this coming September

I spoke to a recruiter about a month ago regarding a position. The comp base variable split was 70/30 which was a great guarantee compared to 50/50 split on same OTE I have now. Since initial discussions the offer has changed to 60/40 split and a 20k lower OTE). I am quite disappointed but also see it a still a very strong opp and I’m really ready to try something new. They mentioned a signing bonus. What is a reasonable signing bonus to ask for? Its 40k difference from the orig base.

Salary difference for S1 between FDD and AAS? I’ve heard FDD pays more but not sure if the hours are worth the salary.

I have a query with regards to HRA deduction that we can claim as non taxable.

So in my offer letter, it is written that max 50% of basic salary can be used for house rent.

My basic salary is 7,00,000. So how much deduction can I show for HRA, considering the The Income Tax Act Section 10-13A?

I want to reduce the tax as much as possible through HRA, but I believe there is a limit upto which deductions will be considered.

Based on the comments of many I know I’m not alone in just being weary right now and the past year. Big law litigation is just a billable hamster wheel I want to get off. I’m also done with firm politics, billable hours, and mystery comp models. But I’m a sucker for security and the “devil you know” has kept me here for years. Trying to evaluate monetary offers is difficult since I receive a significant bonus for maintaining my clearance (120k + 30k for the clearance). So I’m evaluating a non-cleared offer for 180k. I don’t want to hold the clearance anymore. Should I evaluate it against the 120 or the 150 in terms of answering the question “is the jump big enough to leave?” With bonus and without clearance, it’s a 40% or so jump, but only a 12-15% jump with only bonus and base included.
